The art in this show has been created by artists of sexual and gender minorities and their allies to visually represent their interpretation of words used in the LGBTQIA+ community. Each of these pieces were created in an effort to communicate and educate the accurate definitions for individuals outside of the LGBTQIA+ community to have a better understanding of their meaning. Often words or phrases are used in combination with the LGBTQIA+ community that others are unfamiliar with. This exhibition offers both visual and written descriptions of some of the most common words in order to open a dialogue, nurture an understanding of different viewpoints, and foster inclusiveness.
